Payment Threshold
Shelf Indulgence pays monthly when your unpaid balance reaches:
- Minimum: $5.00
- If under $5, balance rolls over to next month
- No expiration on accumulated earnings
Payment Timeline
Understanding the 60-90 day delay:
-
Month 1: Reader purchases your book
- Sale happens on retailer's platform
-
Month 2: Retailer reports sale to us
- Appears in your Dashboard
- Added to Unpaid Revenue
-
Month 3: Retailer pays us, we pay you
- If balance over $5 threshold
- Payment issued by end of month
infoWhy the Delay?
This 60-90 day payment cycle is standard across the entire publishing industry. Retailers pay distributors on net-60 or net-90 terms to account for returns and chargebacks. This is not unique to Shelf Indulgence.
